Introduction
"Art in Action" is the program offered by the
Philippe Charriol Foundation to bring art to the community.
In order to realize the aim of the Foundation, "Art
in Action" organizes various recreations bringing
creative activities to people of different backgrounds.
Apart from sponsoring the art class for the disabled residents
at the Cheshire Home of Shatin, the "Art in Action"
co-ordinates a variety of projects to benefit different
communities at large. Visits to the Duchess of Kent Children's
Hospital gave the children a chance to temporarily put
aside their illness. Other events such as exhibitions
also serve to develop a larger creative
awareness. Local exhibitions
such as "Paint An Equal World" at the Queensway
Government office in 1999 and City Plaza in 2000, illustrated
the creative abilities of the physically disabled at the
Cheshire Home of Shatin.

"Comics 1000 Fun" was a hoarding painting project
held in May 2001 as an attempt both to break the world record,
as well as, to arouse local students' interest in art.
Cultivating the Hong Kong people's spirit for art, "Art
in Action" program will continue to search for opportunities
to enlighten lives through this extraordinary channel. The Foundation
will continue to strive towards its goal. Lets hope art will
reach out and touch everyone's heart!
