Interview
with Mr. Kan Tai-keung
Philippe Charriol Foundation has been organizing its annual
art competition since 1985. Our success is attributable
to the ever-growing base of entrants in each year's competition.
Most important of all, our respectable adjudicating panels
have provided their support and guidance to the Foundation,
helping us to move on with improvements.
Amongst all, Mr. Kan Tai-keung has been serving on the
adjudicating panel for more than ten years. Mr. Kan has
garnered distinctive achievements in art and design, both
in Hong Kong and overseas. Mr. Kan shares his view of
the development of the Philippe Charriol Foundation Annual
Art Competition and art development in Hong Kong.
Having served on the adjudicating panel for over 10 years,
Mr. Kan thinks the competition offers a good opportunity
for young budding artists to showcase their talents. This
has launched the careers of many potential young artists.
The competition is a good stepping-stone for them to outreach
to worldwide competitions and exhibitions overseas.
