Philippe Charriol Foundation (PCF) presents - The Passion of Living at ¡§MTR arttube¡¨

Inspired by simple every day objects such as rice, pencil shavings and rocks, a group of emerging artists have turned daily experiences into amazing art creations.

From now till 27 November 2006, selected artists will be sharing their perspective on the art of living entitled¡§L¡¦art de vivre la difference.Experience with Heart¡¨presented by Philippe Charriol Foundation (PCF) at the ¡§arttube¡¨ of MTR Central Station (Entrance/Exit J). Not only featuring PCF Art Competition award-winning pieces by Ms Tsang Chui-mei, Ms Law Yuk-mui, Mr Lo Chi-kit, Ms Hon Shuk-kwan and Mr James Chu, but also exhibiting paintings by the residents of Cheshire Home, Sha Tin under our ¡§Art in Action¡¨ programme. The artworks on display include paintings, sculpture and installation art. On show you can discover a delicate ¡§rice¡¨ bowl, made literally from grains of rice; pencil shavings, transformed into a pair of ears; lots of marvelous paintings and more¡K

About PCF

PCF is a registered charitable organization in the Hong Kong SAR. It is also an associate institution of the International Fund for the promotion of culture under the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization. Committed to the cultivation of emerging artists and the promotion of art appreciation, the Foundation was founded in 1985 by world-renowned watchmaker and art connoisseur, Philippe Charriol. The Foundation has organized numerous activities such as art competitions, exhibitions, seminars, and the like to promote art and to provide means for artists to develop their talents. PCF launched its website in 2002 with the aim to promote art among the general public via Internet. The website also serves as a platform for artists to exchange views among themselves.
