PCF Art Workshop V - Architecture
Collaborated with Hong Kong Architecture Centre
PCF is always keen on promoting local art in Hong Kong, in this final round of PCF workshop "Architecture", PCF & Hong Kong Architecture Centre have cordially invited Ms. Chan Lai Kiu and Mr. Humphrey Wong, Registered Architects in Hong Kong, to host our 5th workshop ¡V Architecture. During this workshop, they will present the art of "Architecture" with the participants. Through making a model of an infrastructure with various objects, participants can explore the concept of architecture, the relationship between art and space.
Details of the workshop are as follows:
Date: 25 March 2006 (Saturday)
Time: 10:00 am ¡V 1:00 pm
Venue: McAulay Studio, 3/F, Hong Kong Arts Centre, 2 Harbour Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong
Target audience: Aged 18 or above, interested in Architecture
Remarks:
- Participants are required to bring along some materials together with a digital camera with micro-zooming function (Details will be provided once reservation confirmed)
- No. of admission: 25 persons.First come first served. Please call PCF at 2896 5939 for reservation.
- Workshop will be conducted in Cantonese.
This workshop mainly aims at promoting the culture of architecture to the public. Ms. Chan, Registered Architect in Hong Kong, is the Director of P&T Architects and Engineers Ltd. Her major projects include Entertainment Building in Central (1993 HKIA Silver Medal), Suzhou Sheraton Hotel (2004 HKIA Annual Award for Work Outside Hong Kong) and Shunde Cultural Complex in PRC. She is also a part-time artist and writer, and won also various awards in other forms of design.
Mr. Humphrey Wong, Registered Architect in Hong Kong, is the Director of Meta4 Design Forum Ltd. He has entered exhibitions of "Cycle of Chair" Art Exhibition Series (2005) and 2021 Emerging Hong Kong Architects and New Trend in Architecture Exhibition (2005). He was also the lecturer & part-time design teacher for SPACE, the University of Hong Kong (2000 ¡V 2005).

About Hong Kong Architecture Centre
Founded by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, the Hong Kong Architecture Centre aims at creating a new interface with the general public for promoting the knowledge of architecture and the built environment, and it targets to serve the community. The launching ceremony of the Hong Kong Architecture Centre project was officiated by the Chief Secretary for Administration, The Honorable Rafael Hui, GBS, JP on November 2005.
